The Companion is a touchscreen, smart appliance,  application server, and an intuitive systems interface designed to manage all aspects of modern homes and commercial installations.  Companion is also an innovative platform for designing semi or full custom control using Macromedia Flashâ„¢ to manage any environment as the world's most flexible, all digital IP-based solution.

Solid state, fanless, all-inclusive Companion appliances are pre-loaded with lifestyle / control applications, "best of breed" subsystem drivers, a clever semi-customizable interface, and even a robust custom design/control architecture.  Each controller can stand alone as a master controller with no central "brain" or as one of many networked controllers throughout the home.

The onboard webserver requires no special software or programming.  Companion smartscreens are IP-networked appliances enabling world cams, a Firefox browser for one-touch Internet favorites and other network services.

Now, Companion products (C8, Muse, Sidekick) can be interfaced with Comfort via the UCM/IR (serial) or UCM/Ethernet. The Comfort plug-in allows you to use the touchscreen to control all devices and appliances connected to Comfort (X10, CBUS, EIB, Smartfit) and well as arm and disarm the security system. See the attached picture.

Companion is manufactured by Convergent Living Inc (http://www.convergentliving.com)

FYI

It looks like CorAccess Systems, LLC is no longer in business.  See link.

Yes the link in your reply does work "
http://www.convergentliving.com " but the link below does not.

"Companion is manufactured by Convergent Living Inc (http://www.coraccess.com) "

This link gives the message that the company is no longer in business.  Anyway it's good to know all is well as it looks like a great product.
