The Comfort Training course was held at the Centre Point in Central London over 2 days in late September. It was attended by 12 people, including from Greece, Cyprus and Poland, and of course the UK. The course was conducted by L. Y. Chiu, Technical Director of Cytech.

New training rigs were designed and constructed for this course. These rigs were designed around a lightweight aluminium  chassis, with a Comfort main board, LEM, KP04 keypad, Door Station, UCM05, Slave, and with mounting holes for other modules that may be needed. The rig can be used with equipment mounted on both sides, in a standing position, as well as  lying down, so that the modules can be readily accessible. These will be used again for future training courses, although there was a slight "design error" which caused the UCM05 RS232 connector to protrude from the base.

The training agenda consisted of Product Introduction and Training, Programming, Instalation/Testing & Commissioning, and a hands on exercise with interface to C-Bus. The Product Training/Intro  part of the course is available on the Cytech Website here. as a 32 MB powerpoint file

This will be the template for regular training events in the future, hopefully with improvements in the content and pace from the previous experience.

There was quite a lot to cover in 2 days, but coffee breaks and refreshments helped everyone to get through it. Perhaps the course may be extended to 3 days in future, depending on feedback

Those who are interested in future training courses in the UK please send a private message or email us at info@cytech.biz

This is a photo of one of the Training Rigs used in the course. Equipment can be mounted on both sides so access is convenient. The Training rig can be turned around or laid flat to make connections or to manipulate the modules. It is a good way to download and test programming
