The Philips Pronto models  9400, 9600, 9800 can be used with Comfort. A Prontoscript module has been developed for the 9400 screen which is available for download for free.
The new version of Prontoscript for Comfort is now available from the Cytech Website Link
Please note that this is provided free of charge for Comfort and Pronto installers  and make no warranties about the script. This is to be used at your own risk.

The Comfort.gef file can be imported by Pronto Edit Professional and dragged to the configuration as a new device. the .xcf file is also available for direct loading into Preonto Edit. This script is for the 9400 only but may be modified by others to fit the 9600 and 9800 screens.
The UCM/Ethernet/Audio is required to interface to the Pronto via wi-fi. One of the best news of all is that you do not need the very expensive RFX extenders which provide Rs232 and I/O ports. Use Comfort as your gateway to Pronto. Comfort makes Pronto worth the cost!

In this version the configuration is done on the PC, and  not on the Pronto itself so that when power is switched off, the prontoscript variables are not lost
The features of this version are
  1. Supports C-Bus, KNX/EIB, Dynalite, Ulti, Rako, Z-wave, X10, Outputs, Do Responses, Counters
  2. Feedback from C-Bus, KNX/EIB X10, Z-wave, Inputs, Outputs
  3. Full Keypad simulation with UCM/Ethernet/Audio with microphone and speaker. Use the Pronto like a real keypad and hear the voice menu and record messages or uise as intercom
  4. Arm to Away, Night, Day, Vacation mode with status
  5. Supports IP camera (example of Axis camera provided). Other cameras need Prontoscript code.
  6. Door Station IP camera shows visitor when door station is pressed. Talk to the visitor using the Mic and Speaker on the UCM/Ethernet/Audio
  7. Shows alarm status for Low Battery, Tamper, Intruder, AC Failure, Comms failure
  8. Real time Security zone status
  9. Event log from Comfort can be viewed
Pronto is available in handheld and wall mount versions

The Keypad page is shown. The status of low battery, AC Failure, Tamper, Comms failure is shown. The current security mode ie Away, Day, Night, Vacation or Security mode is shown. Use the keypad like a real keypad to arm and disarm the system.

Configuration page for C-Bus in Pronto Edit Professional

UCM/Cbus is required to interface to C-Bus
Control any group address On, Off, Dim like a real C-Bus switch and show the status on Pronto
This does not need any programming on Comfort except for the setting of Number of UCMs

You can even download the Event Log from Comfort
The screenshot shows an empty event log as the simulator does not allow you to capture actual images on the Pronto

OK interesting
Im about to start to see weather we can use Comfort as a viable means of interfacing from Pronto to other devices.

Only taken a quick look (do not have a test rig set up only opened the script) but have the following questions already

- The script is developed for the 9400 Other Prontos would need a lot of graphics sorting in order for the screen to fit the page e.g. 9300 9600 and 9800.
- Is there a limit to the number of devices or can I copy the pages indefinately
- how can i get feed back - is this reallly as clever as im thinking - by putting a group address (CBUS) do i have the feed back knowledge readily available in Pronto (via comfort)...........
- by the look of the forum I'm going to be the ginue pig for this............!!!!!

Are there any issues relating to the use of Comfigurator 3?

All our current installs are C2..  Is it OK to use the Pronto driver with an installation that was installed and configured using C2 ?

The answers to your questions below
- The script is developed for the 9400 Other Prontos would need a lot of graphics sorting in order for the screen to fit the page e.g. 9300 9600 and 9800.
yes the screen would need to be adjusted accordingly but it would not be difficult to do this.

- Is there a limit to the number of devices or can I copy the pages indefinately
That would depend on the memory of the Pronto which is  quite substantial

- how can i get feed back - is this reallly as clever as im thinking - by putting a group address (CBUS) do i have the feed back knowledge readily available in Pronto (via comfort)...........
There is feedback as welll

- by the look of the forum I'm going to be the ginue pig for this............!!!!!
The script is for anyone to try

Are there any issues relating to the use of Comfigurator 3? All our current installs are C2.. Is it OK to use the Pronto driver with an installation that was installed and configured using C2 ?
It does not refer to Comfigurator at all, only to the UCM commands

OK I have it working as I suspected its a beta version.......

You HAVE to login using the keypad screen to get to the function page - This more or less makes the script redundent as nobody is going to sign in every time to perform simple functions - can you/we take the function side away from signing in.
The unit i have DOES not respond the the correct zones..e.g. z1 front door is not zone 1 front door...
When in the comfort zone page the circles change from green to red when a zone is activated - this only appears to happen when you log out and back in again it is not instantaneous.
The feed back for CBUS and comfort outputs works well - HOWEVER only CBUS Groups give feedback (not scenes) and only comfort outputs give feedback (not responses) which makes sense. so as an example i want to add a comfort response that sets output 1 to activate for 5 min (its a zone of the irrigation system) I have to activate the response AND then also tag the opput to the on/off red/green button in order to get feedback.

As a general comment this looks very promising however it needs quite a bit of work to make it polished. medium term it puts the possibility of Comfort being a central hub back on the map.

Many more comments to come but this is a start - the major one is being able to take the lighting commands away from the security the login just simply does not work for me

Oh i used it on a 9600 was i supposed to get comfort voice?

The keypad keys were on the small side and i had to use the pronto pointer to make sure i got the correct login keys.

The unit I have

The term "beta" is not appropriate as this is not a product that we are releasing. We dont sell the script and neither so we sell Pronto
This is just a starting point for Pronto and Comfort Integrators to take forward, to show what is possible.
They can contribute their modifications to the Comfort community or those who have spent considerable effort on further development of course can keep it to themselves.

The requirement to log in is because this is connected through a UCM/Ethernet and you need to sign in to get it to work.  You could save the login code and bypass the sign in by the user. But remember that  once you login you have access to Comfort security, and you dont want to let anyone do that. You can change the code so that when you access any security function, it automatically signs out and asks you to sign in again.

For the zones you must set up the zones in the Pronto Edit zone page to correspond to the zone names

The pronto scripting is quite powerful and allows you to accomplish many things, especially the customisation that you refer to

To get voice from the keypad, you connect a AUD01 module to the UCM/Ethernet and a speaker and mic to that - the voice does not come from Pronto

We will take any feedback and will further work on the script, but those who have immediate need to use it can take it from here

Thanks for clarifying the situation by adding the text to the download page!

You miss the point i am trying to make. Pronto script and comfort could be an excellent pairing. From what i have seen of the script it has the ability to provide a really 'nice' user interface. However think this in your own home you come in to the lounge pick up pronto go to the home page switch on the Sat box and then go to the next page to sort out the light scene - there is simply no way that the customer is going to want to then sign in to get to the lighting.

The reason i am questioning what comfort is - is simply because you have a simgle product that is trying to be everything to every body and it is now quite apparent that this is not working. By physically splitting the security from the home automation i believe that you will have a more reliable managable product range.

A new version of the Comfort Prontoscript module is available from the link in the original post
This requires ProntoEdit Professional 2.3.17 and above which can be downloaded from the Pronto website
The changes are
  1. Login is not needed except to arm and disarm the security system
  2. KNX and EIB are separate UCMs where "EIB" refers to the older UCM/EIB and "KNX" refers to the new UCM/KNX. The Scan function will detect the UCMs installed
  3. Intruder Alarm icon on the Zones page was not cleared when the system was disarm. This is now fixed
