We are pleased to announce that UCM/Zwave 5.180 has now been released

This is a significant improvement over the previous version
  1. The new UCM/Zwave  works with the new  Comfigurator 3 software to learn a Zwave network and to assign counters for monitoring status
  2. The UCM/Zwave now comes with an EEPROM (Erasable Electrical Programmable memory) which stores the configuration settings, unlike the previous model which required the use of jumper settings to set the base counter
  3. The Z-wave configuration is stored in the .cclx comfigurator file together with the rest of the  configuration for the project.
  4. The Z-wave Node IDs in the network can be controlled using the Z-wave Comfigurator for testing (see screenshot below)
Cytech is offering a free upgrade to customers who have bought the older UCM/Zwave, as this requires a change in the UCM/Zwave PCB. Please send a private message or email sales@cytech.biz with the serial number of your current module

A screenshot of the Zwave Configurator built into Comfigurator 3 is shown below
The Z-wave configurator will be the model for new UCMs developed in future for interfacing to 3rd party equipment in future

The instruction manual can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/ucmzwave_manual.html

Minor Bug in UCM/Zwave 5.180
Status report updates Comfort Counters when there is no change in the value. Update of the counters should take place only when there is a change in the Zwave monitored value

Hi Chiu

Is there any later (beta?) firmware for zwave to fix the counter issue yet or add some new features?

Keen to test.

Regards

Julian

Hope it's not too long in testing as I'm being saturated with zwave feedback on the RS485 bus as the moment so would be good to test the beta firmware if it fixes.

The new firmware Zwave 5.184 has been released, downloadable from the  Zwave Firmware Page  on the Cytech server
This fixes a bug on 5.180 where the status report updates the counter  to Comfort even when there is no change in state of the Zwave device
