Bugs fixed

1. System Information could not be read from firmware less than UCM 5.160
2. Fixed problem with Branch or IF statement skips too many actions
3. FTDI USB drivers were not in correct folder
4. When a referenced counter has its name changed, the change is not reflected in the Responses which reference it
5. Sensor Registers do not show References
6. \"Floating word list\" caused by any event in Monitor I/O
7. Unknown actions in Responses do not get flagged as errors, the are shown with the action number eg \"Action 31\" to cater for future actions
8. X10 Transmit, if named, they do not generate the correct actions
9. Action \"Perform Engineer Reset\" causes Error Invalid Parameter
10. Action \"Set Message Tag for Recording\" gives error
11. Action \"Record Message on Door station\" allows duration of 255

Known Bugs (These may also be in 2.9.12)

1. Sensor Responses do not show References
2. For Write to Comfort if a user code is entered instead of Engineer Code, a window \"Incompatible File system\" may be seen and the hourglass appears and remain on until the program is closed
3. Error in HDL Configurator
4. Action If Zone, IF Last Zone parameters are wrong
5. Sensor Responses are not Written to Comfort
6. Action Get Counter 0 causes Error
7. Creating new Responses from Events - may not select new responses if the IF statement is used
8. Add a New Response adds the Response numbered 1 and causes other Responses after the new Response to be renumbered. Do Response points to the wrong Response   (reported by wexfordman in this forum)
   
9. UCM does not show in toolbar if selected in Options
10. Response Wizard > Misc > Comment is not saved
11. Response Name is not allowed to start with a Number, but if the name is autogenerated from the Description, the name starting with a number is accepted
    

Remember also that renaming a response doesnt update the references where it\'s used in Control Menu.  I reported this earlier and just confirmed it\'s still in 2.9.13.

From a usability standpoint could I also say (apart from the fact that overall 2.9.x is great!!) that one thing that does confuse me slightly as a user is the SAVE button.

Making a change to the config and then pressing SAVE I get zero feedback in the UI that the save has happened.  I know if I exit without saving I get a prompt asking if I want to save but it would be good to have at least some visual indication that it happened in the UI.

And this leads me onto the second and connected point.  If I open a comfigurator config, make some changes and then write to comfort (PC -> Comfort) without saving, what config is it using;  the one open in the UI or the saved (file) version?

Perhaps for the sake of clarity the UI should prompt you to save the config if you try to write to comfort before the config is saved (same dialog as on exit). 

My thoughts anyway but please do confirm my question above about which version of config it does write (PC -> Comfort).

Can you describe what you do to get this?
I have  a control menu Group 0 Key 1 On Response  with a Response Output1On . I go to Responses and rename the Response to Output1On000
When I go back to the Control menu, I find that the Response in the same Control menu has changed to Output1On000

I think the normal way that Windows programs usually operate eg Word is that you dont get a confirmation that the save happened after you press the Save icon

If you write to Comfort without saving, the config which is open is written, not the saved config. This is what happens if you print a Word file without saving, the opened document in memory is what is printed.

I accept your points as beeing normal windows behaviour and Ok see that when you write to comfort it uses the config in memory.

I think though if you were to prompt the user to save before writing to comfort you would minimise chances of a config running in Comfort that\'s not saved back to a CCL.  How many times in Word have we all lost our changes on exit because it\'s the end of the day and we are tired or not concentrating and we press NO instead of YES to the save prompt.  I know I\'ve kicked myself a few times for doing this.:X

Given this is a security APP I personally (you asked for feedback!) the \"belt-and-braces\" approach would in my opinion be better. Hey but I\'m an end user and plenty of time to fiddle and retype but was thinking more of your installer community where time is money!

 

Actually, looking at Word and Excel they save in different ways:

* Word flashes up a floppy disk icon in the status bar whilst saving

* Excel flashes a \"Saving.......xls\" message and progress bar in the status bar as it saves.

(oh the joys of different development teams producing different behaviours in a suite!!)

Not saying you do one or the other but they do provide at least some (blink or you\'ll miss it) visual representation of the save action.

Hi,
I riased this before, and thought I was going mad (or i was missing something obvious), I think I might still be one or the other :-) as I cant figure out whats going on.

I am trying to build a response from scs to turn heating on/off and for some reason when I build the response, and when I check it later, it has changed (ie, If my reponse calls on another response eg Do Resonse Bed Heat off, whenever I check back on it after I create another resposne, the DO response Bed Heat off ahs changed to something like DO response Bathroom light off)

I think I am going mad!!!

Comfigurator file is enclosed, can you please have a look, and pay attention in particular to response 43, whcih is gone completely haywire on me and is call ing on light responses insteat of the ehat ones I specified when I created it.

Also, when you look at it in the side window \"response source\" it looks okay, but if you go into response wizard, its a totally different response!!.

You dont have Response 43, you have Response 42 which is

Is this the correct response, or is there a mistake in the response?

Can you describe how to get this error that you refer to?

Are you using 2.9.13?
