Firmware versions up to 5.092 are not Flash based, that means they are One Time Programmable (OTP) which cannot be upgraded using UCM05 and Comfigurator.
They can be upgraded by plugging in the MPU01. The MPU01 (from version 5.100+) are themselves Flash-based so it allows the SEM to be upgraded in future by the UCM05. For Flash-based SEM  firmware history see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum60/1200.html
Version 5.092 20 April 2007
SEM 5.092 is the last released non-Flash ie One Time Programmable (OTP) firmware

Fixed bug from 5.085 - Slave Zones which are OFF at reset will trigger zone off responses
Known Bugs
  • initial value of Slave zones reported after reset to Comfort is wrong but subsequent activation is correctly reported. This causes incorrect initial report to Cbus etc
  • Slave zones with Zone Types 17 to 31 all have Sensitivity highest ie 10 ms
Version 5.085 13 April 2007

Fixed BUG for LEM zones not reported to Comfort I
Known Bugs
  • initial value of Slave zones reported after reset to Comfort is wrong but subsequent activation is correctly reported. This causes incorrect initial report to Cbus etc
  • Slave zones with Zone Types 17 to 31 all have Sensitivity highest ie 10 ms
Version 5.084 30/11/06
  • Slave STROBE which is not used is always off. It used to be on but save current by turning off
  • Set x10 enabled for slave
  • Implemented Battery disconnect test for SEM. Will report Low battery to master if battery disconnected. If Battery disconnect is detected, further tests are disabled until reset or manual battery test is done F3,1. Timed low battery test will be disabled

Low Battery Test will be ended determined by the slave. Previous versions end battery test only when commanded by Master, eg when Master detects low battery, it will end the test for slave as well. Note that Master before 5.069 did NOT send commands to SEM to start or stop the battery test. For Master <5.069 , SEM will not doo low battery test. For Master >=5.069, SEM < 5.082, Slave will do low battery test but it will end low battery test when Master ends its low battery test. For Master >= 5.069 and SEM >=5.082 Slave does low battery test and will end the low battery test by itself ie at end of 2 monites or when it detects its own low battery

BUGs

Slave LEM zones are not detected when used with Comfort I

Version 5.033 Ultra 2 (5/01/06)

I'm intrigued... what does this mean?

Cheers,

It means that the X10 interface can be connected to the Slave socket
I have not tested this yet though
