This is not a "special problem" but it is regarding the UCM/Universal which it happens that Ingo and palmlodge who have the UCM/Cbus issue are also using
This latest version 6.010 fixes the known issues but we have also decided to consider making it interchangeable with the general UCM.
This means that you can upgrade a UCM06 (USB, 232 or Ethernet) to a Universal and vice versa
Normally you can only upgrade firmware of a module with the same type ie UCM/Cbus to UCM/Cbus and KNX to KNX etc This is for protection against a wrong upgrade as well as commercial reasons
However since the UCM06 and Universal are so similar, with the same interfaces available and at the same price, this can be practical
You need UCM 6.010 and Universal 6.010
You can upgrade UCM 6.010 to Universal by Direct Connection to PC, and from Universal to UCM by Comfort Bus

UCM 6.010 attached
This can be used to "upgrade" the UCM to Universal firmware using Direct connection
Universal 6.010 is required to support the "upgrade" to UCM

I am not sure I follow 100%... You say I can convert a UCM/Universal to standard UCM/232 and vice versa by using 6.010 code or above? Is the Univeral 6.010 the release version for everyone or is it still beta code?
How do I identify a UCM06, I looked on my Universal PC board and can't find any disticnt UCM06 marking on it.

The UCM06 is the baseboard for the UCM/232, USB and Ethernet. This is used for programming Comfort and for software like ComfortClient , wizcomfort and iPhone
The same hardware is used in the Universal UCM but without the extra buttons and the IR learner. It comes without the interfaces so a Rs232 or Etherner submodule must be ordered for it. This is used to connect to 3rd party equipment
The firmware is what makes it a Universal or a general UCM
The 6.010 allows you to convert 1 type of firmware to the other and vice versa. It is not released yet as we are still considering this conversion feature is desirable
If you convert your UCm to a Universal (using direct connection to PC) you cannot convert it back to UCM unless you have another UCM because you need a UCM to do the upgrade of the Universal by Comfort Bus

I cannot upgrade over the BUS to 6.010 - Comfort is at 6.005, U-UCM is at 6.003 - it says "Bus firmware upgrade not supported" Note : this is still using Comfigurator 3310 which has the scanning bug that causes an exception on every odd iteration of scanning modules (whether for an upgrade or the usual UCM module scanner) What am I doing wrong ? When you select Upgrade firmware over the Comfort Bus, does the window appear showing Comfort 6.005 and Universal 6.003 as modules that can be upgraded?
Then if so, you selected Universal 6.003 and chose Univ6.010.cbf file to upgrade?
Is this the point that the error message was seen?

Are you sure that the UCM you are actually connected to is a UCM version 6? I think you have several UCMs in your system some of which are old ones

The Universal 6.003 may have some problem upgrading by Bus.Can you do a upgrade using the old way to 6.010. This firmware should allow firmware upgrade by bus
