- Chosen - 10-14-2006 Hi there, i recently experienced some strange behaviour with a comfort system. I just need to know if it is possible that comfort will lose its memory, programing or any other settings, if it is without power for an extended period of time (like 10 hours). - slychiu - 10-15-2006 Comfort will not lose its settings when power is off. All programmed settings are kep in nonvolatile memory (U4). You will omly lose the time Do an upload (Comfort to PC) and see what is programmed - Chosen - 10-16-2006 Sorry, when i said recently, i didnt mean that recently. I dont remember exactly what the results of uploading the program was, that made me think that comforts memory had been corrupted, but the actual problem was that i couldn\'t arm the system in any way. It just kept saying \'invalid, call engineer to reset\'. I did eventually find out how to reset it, through the engineer menu and the problem went away. I remember now, that the upload revealed about 30 short power losses, the last power loss however, lasted about 10 hours. Apparently the clients premises had been experiancing constant power trips, a problem that is now resolved. I think it was these power failures that caused me to believe that comfort had lost some of its settings! Regardless, what do you think actually caused this problem and will the problem come back? Kind regards, but worried. - slychiu - 10-17-2006 See the FAQ on this topic at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum17/51.html |
