I was just trying to do actions to talk to the system to see if it failed to communicate. I did a lot of system info requests as well and uploaded a config change.
I have alway intended upgrading the ETH UCM to 6008 from 6002 to see if this makes the ETH comms more stable and though I could do this by selecting upgrade firmware. When I tried it says update failed with errors.
I might be over complicating this, but the basics are either using a xover cable or on my network I seem to loose comms which requires a reset on the ETH UCM board.
When I was in the US the iPhone app worked great for a couple of weeks, but then lost comms altogether ETH reset sorted. If I use comfigurator I seem to loose comms a lot sooner guaranteed within 24hrs. This is when I am making config changes as I learn more about the programming.
