SMS message Comfort Ultra II - Reporting username
#1
It is not always practical to use voice message in every occassion to learn the name of user who for example armed or disarmed the system.

Is there way to report in SMS message user name along with user id exactly like it works for zones reporting XXXX - Alarm - ZZ Zonename

The SMS for alarms related to users does report the user number

eg xxxx- System Disarmed - 03 means user 03 disarmed

xxxx- System Armed - 90 means user 90 which is the keypad was used to arm via the one touch keys without any code entered. If a user code was used to arm then the user number 1 to 16 will be reported

For  an alarm related to the module ID , the SMS will be

xxxx- RS485 Comms Failure - 65

where 65 = KP1, 66= KP2, etc 49 = DP1, 50 = DP2, ..., 18 = UCM 2, 19 = UCM 3

This is described in the UCM/GSM Manual

Chiu,

From the manual:
For example, if zone 2 - Kitchen Window causes an intruder alarm, the
SMS message will be
1234 - Intruder - 02 KitchenWindow

where zone id = 2 and userdefined zonename = KitchenWindow
and this works perfectly well

For user in Comfigurator we also have user id selectable from 1 to 16 and also may define user name. However in this case only user id is reported in SMS message. Question is if there is a way, say, in case user= 3 with name= rolan has disarmed the system to send to assigned phones a message with ID & NAME
smth like this xxxx-System Disarmed-03 rolan

rather then    xxxx-System Disarmed-03

The user names in text are not stored within Comforts memory so it does not report the name.

You can find out the name of the user in Comfigurator
If Comfort is reporting arm and disarm every day then it would not take long to remember which user is which

I am installing the system in pretty crowdy commercial office. No of authorised users will be about 16 and their list may change from time to time as you can imagine. So people would apparently appreciate if we provide the opportunity to read names rather then IDs ...
