Combi Boiler switching

Hoi may be a stupid question, I am going to be having a comfort system installed soon, I would like to have my central heating also within my home automation, I currently have a C-Bus system in  place and know that my boiler needs a volt free thermostat.

I have looked at the c-bus option and a thermostat is £100 aprox which i fine but the volt free relay is almost £400.

My question is can the same job be done with the C-bus thermostat & the RLY01 from Comfort? as this would make italot more affordable.Or can anyone suggest a more affordable option.

What is the specifications of the volt - free relay that is needed, ie coil voltage andn contact rating?

How does the Cbus thermostat connect to the volt free relay?

hi all the boiler manual says is to use a volt free thermostat, it is a two wire type, the c-bus and comfort would be connected using ucm cbus

You can probably use the RLY01, if the Cbus Thermostat can drive the RLY01. The RLY01 requires a 12V output to turn on the relay, so if the Cbus thermostat is able to supply that then it should work

I use this, but CBUS takes care of the voltage free switching. Comfort controls the logic.

I also installed a 2 way switch, so I can manually switch between CBUS control and the old central heating timer (for testing).

Fairly simple - as my old central heating timer had all the info I needed.
