Phone trouble causes immediate alarm for "alert" zones
#1
Hi,

First time in 12 years I get the following problem.
Could someone help?

I have all my external zones set to \"alert night/away\".
All works well when telephone line is working.
A few weeks ago our telephone line went dead from a fault on our Telecom supplier\'s side.
Suddenly my \"alert\" zones all caused immediate alarms once tripped. (This happened in away as well as night mode)
After I set the system to \"ignore line cut\" all was working fine again.
My telephone connections are done correct as per the manual.

Another annoying problem we had since day one is that a \"phone trouble\" message is activated 99% of the times once we answer a telephone call.
This happens after about 10 seconds, after picking up the phone and making or receiving a call.
We have mostly cordless DECT phones that we use

Thank you.

This is the correct behavioiur
If there is a Phone Line cut, the alerts zones become immediate
This is in case someone is cutting the phone lines to try to break in

If you have Phone Trouble whne you use the local phone it probably means that the phone is connected to TEL IN instead of TEL OUT. Comfort detects the drop in voltage without detecting phone offhook because the phone is not connected to TEL OUT. Please check the phone connection

Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
My phones are connected correctly. As mentioned this happens only occasionally. While the call is in progress it is impossible to reset phone trouble on keypad. As soon as call is finished the trouble condition can be reset. Can it have something to do with the line voltage of the DECT cordless phones? I have read something like that somewhere.
Thank you.

The DECT phone voltage should not be the problem if it is connected correctly

Try reversing the wires on TEL OUT ie exchange the wires on the TEL OIT connector to change their polarity
