ComfortClient
#1
All,

This thread is for the forthcoming Version 3 of the ComfortClient.

Version 3.1.1.x makes the jump to .NET 4  so you will need to install the .NET 4 Client Framework to use this version of ComfortClient.

This version has a number of new features already including:
  • Support for a new Linear Gauge Floorplan object
  • Support for both UCM/USB and USB/232 connections
  • Copy to Clipboard for Monitor and Event Log windows
  • Monitor Log pause button
  • Fonts and Text rotation on Circular and Linear Gauges
  • Better recovery on connection loss to UCM
  • Colour coded entries on Event Log decode
  • Eventlog can now be saved to DOCX and RTF formats
  • Check for other existing connections to Tibbo interface in Network Connector
  • Most Recently Used (MRU list) in Floorplan Editor
  • Additional response decodes possible in later UCM firmwares
  • Other minor UI changes and bug fixes
More on this closer to the release.

In the meantime Ingo and I will post some taster screenshots.

Regards

Julian

Clientele (aka Client Users),

Here is a linear gauge using the bar-type needle which I used to create a Temperature gauge. The thing with this gauge is that the gauge is actually just the needle and the scale part superimposed on an image of a Thermometer. Both C and F values are displayed here using the C-to-F and F-to-C functions in ComfortClient.

The standard Linear Gauge has all the features of the Circular gauges in that it can have it\'s own background so there are lots of ways to create these linear gauges. In this case it\'s set to transparent to allow the Thermometer image to \'shine through\'.

Ingo

PS. I also added a small RED LED indicator to the Temperature gauge and using the Conditional Manager I am checking to see if the input counter value has gone above 100. If it has then this LED lights up indicating an overflow condition. I will ask Julian to add HoverText to images so if you keep your mouse on it it will popup with \'Overflow\'

All,

Here\'s a selection of Linear Gauges (Sliding and fixed scale) that I created in the forthcoming version of ComfortClient.

It just needs your imagination and artistic flair.   Now to persuade Ingo to recreate that classic health monitoring panel from sick bay in the Star Trek original series. They always said Gean Roddenberry could preview technologies long before their time,  how could he have forseen linear gauges in ComfortClient....spooky!  Smile
