Hardware Installation

I\'ve just purchased a full Comfort II Ultra system including the EN03 enclosure, the Eth02 UCM and a relay module as well as a couple of keypads.

I\'m going to be installing this on Monday but after looking and planning the installation I\'m a bit confused as to how things mount in the EN03 enclosure.

In particular it would seem that screws are required for fastening the boards into the enclosure rather than the plastic stand offs? It seems a little strange that these aren\'t included in the package? This being the case can I assume that these are the same as standard PC motherboard screws, I think I have some of these that I can use so that would solve that problem.

Also, I have been looking at the tamper switches, I can see where these install in the chassis but the wiring loom attached to them doesn\'t seem to have any chance to reach both tamper positions. There is also a blue connector on the end of it which doesn\'t seem to have a way of connecting to the tamper input on the main PCB.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as with the install date looming I\'m keen to be as sorted as possible before then.

The PCB screws should be included in the package
If I recall they should be in the accessory pack in the CM9000 PCB box with the battery cables or in another plastic bag on the outside

Can you take a photo of the enclosure and tamper switches and send it  to support@cytech.biz so we can understand the problem?

There weren\'t any screws included in the accessory bag only the plastic stand-offs.

The enclosure is definitely the EN03, I purchased from Laser business systems / CBus Shop for reference.

The loom on the tamper switches are a loom with a short link between the two switches wired in series - hard wired onto the first switch, spade terminals on the second terminating in a blue connector which looks similar to the terminals on the main PCB. I\'ll take a photo later when I\'m near the unit and email it over to you. I\'m guessing that it\'s the wrong loom for the enclosure, it\'s not a problem, I\'ll solder in an extension to make it work. Just wondered if there was a better solution

We will have to check the photo on Monday
I dont know why the wrong parts have been sent of that is the case.
We will ship some accessory packs to Laser next week
The screws should be M3 so quite common

Update, the tamper switch loom length is indeed incorrect. We will send some proper Tamper assemblies to Laser later this week so please contact them. If you need the M3 screws, they will have them as well

I think you may find that this has been the case for some time....

Could never understand why the plastic pcb upstands were included.

While we are on the subject of tampers - uuuGH they are awful the \'old\' arrangement of a single tamper that extended on an adjustable screw to cover both the lid and rear mount was MILES better because

- used smaller diameter wires
- did not fail (more reliable)
- neater positioning and less cable
- only ONE location
- when accessing for maintenance problem sorting etc you could put the case screw in and shut off the tamper.

Would be great to get the old tamper back - honestly the \'new\'one is just a big step backwards.....

Great to know I wasn\'t going mad. Thanks for your responses. System is mostly installed although having some issues with vocab at the moment and user codes but think that\'s my errors rather than anything else getting used to the configurations etc.

Love the system though and it\'s coming together really nicely.
