VMB1TC operattion with comfort
#1
I mentioned on another thread, that one thing missing from comfort is an easy input device for setting temperatures etc and controlling heating. Ideally, it would be nice to have an input device which is protocol independent, and which would allow you to enter settings into comfort, and then let comfort do the control part of the actual device (be it velbus, zwave cbus etc).

Anyway, as I am a velbus/comfort user I was thinking I might have something like this available through the VMB1TC, which is quite affordable at only about 150 euro.

My question is,

1) how easy would it be, or is it even possible, to use the vmb1tc as an input device to set counter values (eg temp counter) in comfort ?
2) Would it be possible to get the VMB1TC to react based on scs temp readings, either through a macro of some description, or but getting comfort to transmit scs temps as if it was a vmb1TS temp sensor ?

If the above could be done, then the VMB1TC could be used as a user interface for heating control to comfort (irrespective of actual heating controltechnology,as comfort could interface to zwave etc)

Regards,
Eamon

VMB1TC is a temperature controller, it can control the temperature

VMB1TS is a temperature sensor. This can be mapped to Sensors (not counter) in UCM/Velbus

You can use this temperature value to control other devices besides Velbus
