SCS LEDs not functioning correctly after F/W upgrade
#1
I upgraded all firmware this weekend whilst finally getting my GSM module online after having it for 6 years (thanks to rocketsimon for the the GiffGaff tip).

I\'m curently on Ultra 7.027.

I have an SCS on ID1 and until the upgrade the LEDs did as they were told, flashing on key press and then changing as set by the response.

Since the upgrade the LEDs remain flashing after they have been pressed, in spite of the Output Off command being sent by the response.

I think it must be linked to the fact that outputs will not set if they are already in the requested state.

I\'ve tried adding an output on before the output off which stops the flashing however the LEDs now toggle on and off on keys where they should remain off at all time.

For example I have an \"Unset from night\" switch which should do a KeyswitchArm SecurityOff if the current status is Night Mode, followed by switching off the LEDs on it\'s own switch and two others.
This switch\'s LED should never be on or flashing.
Post firmware update the LED flashes continuously after it is first pressed.

Is there any workaround for this? Reset All Outputs is no good for me as I have other things (outside lights, heating relays etc.) on other outputs.

This change (that output will not be acted on if the state is already the same ) was introduced in 7.027
While we investigate if this can affect SCS in the way that you describe, can you downgrade the firmware to ULT 7.026 and confirm if this does not happen anymore
Download ULT 7.026 from https://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_fir...ory_id=101

Also make sure the Number of SCS in your system is correct and the SCS is polled by Comfort

Can you also send your cclx file to support@cytech.biz so we can verify your problem?

We have confirmed that this is a bug from 7.027 affecting the SCS

When a SCS button is pressed, the led starts flashing until an output command to turn on or off the LED
When an output command is sent to the SCS, the change introduced in firmware 7.027 checks if the output is already in the desired state. Hence if the output was off, and a command is sent to turn off the output, then there is no action. However the SCS controls its own led flashing so Comfort is not aware of the flashing state and thinks that the output is off, hence does nothing

You can workaround by setting the output to a different state eg using the Toggle action. or stick to 7.026 until the new firmware fixes the bug

Thanks for the feedback

I\'ve downgraded to 7.026 and the SCS is working correctly again.
I\'ll stick with this version until the bug is fixed.

Hi MJC
We have fixed the problem with this firmware 7.029 attached
It does not check the SCS outputs are in the same state before sending commands to it. Please upgrade and confirm that it fixes your SCS flashing problem

This bug was fixed in ULT 7.029 see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/3353.html and the firmware can be upgraded from Comfigurator
