Wiring Hochiki detectors
#1
Hi

As per a recommendation from a Comfort installer , I\'ve got 2 Hochiki smoke detectors.
DFJ-AE/3 Hochiki Conventional Fixed Temperature Heat Detector (60°C)
SLR-E3 Hochiki Conventional Photoelectric Smoke Detector

along with the following base to attach each of them to - YBO-R/6R Hochiki Conventional Latching Relay Base
I\'ve run a wire for each back to Comfort, but could do with some recommendations on how best to wire them into Comfort and/or each other? also how best to configure them in Comfigurator.

Any help most appreciated.

For Comfigurator, use Zone Type Fire N/C (Normally Closed) assuming the detectors have a normally closed output

OK its been a while

You need the latching base (as opposed to the non-latching base). The latching base will reset every few minutes so there is no need to ass a break to the 12v power to the sensor.

If you have the non latching base then you will need to wire the +12V into the S12V terminal - there is then a response that allows you to break the power to allow the sensor to reset.

You should use EOL as well + you can wire an LED or similar a the main panel - all of this is really prompting me to create a \'proper\' written summary because there are a number of different ways of doing things.....
