Firmware and Module Problems
#1
I have a Comfort Ultra II running firmware 5.164 with a UCM Type 10 (CBUS) at 5.092 and the UCM Ethernet.

I have 3 keypads and 1 door station.

Basically I am wanting to bring all the firmware up to date and I have also got a problem when I run Comfigurator 3.8.8 telling me the number of modules does not match.

I have tried to follow the instructions from this thread to add the modules manually, however I believe my UCM modules are not set up correctly (as I am showing 8) and when I try to scan those I get the error message that scanning isn\'t supported.

Where should I start...?

Thanks! Smile

What is the firmware of the UCM/ETH The minimum is firmware version 7 to support full module scanning. If your UCM firmware is minimum version 6, it can be upgraded to version 7
If yur ucm firmware is version 5 it is not able to upgrade itself, and needs another UCMM to upgrade it using the UCM firmware cable

I don\'t know for sure, but I suspect it has never been upgraded since install about 7 years ago so will be an early version.
I will have to arrange for it to be upgraded.
In the meantime with the current setting I have developed a comms failure showing UCM8 which wasn\'t there before.  How do I restore my system to a stable state pending the upgrade.
I have tried reloading the config file and resetting the system and it is now telling me my user code doesn\'t have sufficient privileges to do that...

when do you get this message

After scanning the modules, if you find the extra ucms and keypads, manually delete them before writing to comfort

I get this message when I try to reset the system of load the comfig file from comfigurator.
I have no comms at the keypad now as they are showing comms failure, so basically I cannot sign into the alarm or gain control.
I also cannot scan the modules so not sure where to start with this really??? Sad
