Relais problem

Hi,

I have a problem with one of my relais,  it won\'t go off ...

I made a board with 16 relais on it, same relais as on the RLY01, all with a diode over the input (coil) ...

The output from the mainboard (or lem) goes to the input of these relais, and the output of these relais go to a bigger relais (Finder 24Volt DC coil) which controls all the relais of the shutters.  So I guess there is no issue of too much load on the relais ...

Yesterday I had another problem, measuring continuity on the same output of the relay board, it appeared that there was still continuity through the output terminals of the relais, although the load (finder relais) was not switched on.

So there was still electr. flowing through the output terminals, but when i put 24volt dc on the output terminal, the finder relais did switch on ...

Haven\'t measured how much volt there is on the output terminals, but i\'m asking the technically minded people here, wat can be wrong ???

Switching my 24volt AC coiled relais from my relay board gives no problem, although I only pulse them for about 100 milli seconds, and these 24volt DC relais are switched on for about 50 seconds ...  But as I said before, there really is practically NO LOAD ....

Any help would be appreciated ... It seems like only my output 12 is affected, but i\'m not too sure ...

Seems nobody has an answer ?

So I fire up another question ... Who can measure the voltage that is present on the output when not activated ...

I thought i could remember someone noting that there is still something more than 1 volt present on the output, and i think i measured the same (i\'m talkin of a G1 panel)

I did some tests with the relais mounted on a RLY01 (nais JW2SN), and it seems, that when the coil is activated, the contacts don\'t fall off at even 2,5 volts... They seem to let go on about 2,1 volt  ...

I\'m just looking for some causes that might explain why the relais did not shut off, if none of these are true, there must be something wrong with the programming, but can\'t find anything ...

Wish there was an emulator, so you can safely test everything and then upload, knowing that if something goes wrong then, it must be a hardware related thing !!

Sorry I dont really understand what question you are asking from your message

You are saying that the 24 V relays can switch on but do not switch off untill 50 seconds later even though the outputs are pulsed for 100 ms

That means that the outputs do switch off and that is nothing wrong with them?

To measure the output voltage you need to have a load connected to them as they are open collector. Can you use our 12V test  lamps instead of the relays to connect to the outputs and verify if they go on and off? If you dont have, use an LED with 1 K resistor in series.

You can leave the relay connected to the output to do the measurement
Measure the voltage between the cebtre 12V and the output - that is the voltage applied to the load

You\'ve got to the point Chiu, the pulse for the lights works without problems, but the more I think of it, the less i\'m sure about everything ...

So thanks for explaining how i can test everything, will sure do !!!
