I have a Comfort II system that does not annonce the number of phone messages that have been left.

If a phone message is left the MSG light flashes as expected. However when you sign comfort says...

\"Welcome, security off. You have welcome new message(s)\".

I get the word \"welcome\" announced in place of the number of messages?

Hi,

Is it a case of only the number of messages left or all numbers? Can you hear, for instance, \"1 to arm security system\" when you sign in?

No, when you sign in the numbers are announced as expected.

The system is aware that there is one or more messages left in the fact that for one message it says

\"Welcome, security off. You have welcome new message\".

For Two it says

\"Welcome, security off. You have welcome new messages\".

It seems that the number tables are mixed up
Did you use or download another vocabulary file by any chance?
Do a Sentence Download using Comfigurator. The vocab file can be downloaded from http://www.cytech -technology.com /temp/software/anita26.bin

This should fix the sentences and number tables

You can do a full vocab download but a sentence download should be enough

Some have reported that the software hangs at the end. Just do the sentence download again if that is the case

Thats upset her. Just did a sentance download & now she has given up the ability to speak altogether! Wish I had that ability with others sometimes Big Grin

. Software did not hang BTW.

Now doing a full vocab download to see if she will lose the attitude..... She loves me again. Re-recorded greeting message... And it seems to work. Thanks.

Not sure how it has got in to this state cos I have never touched this side of things before?

It should be the sentences which some how got corrupted
The sentence download did not work because of some timeing issue which should be resolved in the next release

Was there any special circumstances which occured prior to this happening?

No nothing I can pin down but it was brought to my attention after losing the greeting message. Not making any links here however. Also as I said this is not a side of comfort I have played with at all so this is the first time I have programmed the vocab etc.
