GSM not sending status

I am no longer receiving SMS (text) messages from Comfort confirming status.
Using SMS text, I can successfully set and unset to Night Mode. I hear the status announcement(s) for the keypads.
But when I send (1) I do not get a status response.
This started at the end of July. I have not changed anything on my system since April. ie no uploads to/from Comfigurator.
I did a reset yesterday (powered down and back up - system was off for 2 hrs.) This made no difference.
What do I look for next?

Could it be due to not having enough balance on the sim card which allows it to receive sms but not end out

• Can you do a dial test and check if the sms for dial test is received?
• Can you dial to the GSM number and see if Comfort answest the call
• Check the GSM network strenght or ay other error status at the bottom left of the status bar in GSM screen

More to do with the fact I was unaware the bank card I was using to pay the bill on a recurring basis had expired.
I guess the mobile phone provider sent s text telling me this had happened but as I was unable to read this text due to the SIM being in the GSM module...
Should have thought/checked first before making my post.
