Unable to connect to UCM ETH03 after firmware UCM upgrade
#1
Sorry, realised I should have posted my question here instead of in the firmware pages...
I have upgraded Comfort, Slave and UCM GSM4 this evening with no issues. All on latest non-beta versions.
I then upgraded UCM ETH03 from 7.098 to firmware 7.141. It said it was completed and suggested a module rescan but now I cannot connect Comfigurator any more Sad
I have reset Comfort but still no luck.
I can run Comfort Server Manager and see the ETH03 module (firmware 2.23) and I can ping it from my PC but I just cannot connect to it on the configured ports 1001 or 1002.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should try next?

Please check that the UCM D9 red and Greed D10 leds are both blinking, that shows the UCM is communicating with Comfort. Is the system working otherwise, can you sign in on the keypads?

Have you checked the IP is the same?

Hi Slychiu / Ian - status is as follows:
Yes, the IP address is the same - I can ping the ETH03 okay. I\'ve checked the port configs in CSM too.
System is working fine, keypads okay, can arm/disarm, all my responses seem to be working okay.
I\'ve just taken the lid off and looked at the D9 (red) and D10 (green) LEDs.  D10 is mostly on and flickering a little (which seems to match the flickering of the D10 on my UCM/GSM4).  However, the red D9 is not lit, whereas on the UCM/GSM4 is it also mostly list and flickering.
The UCM/ETH03 has four other LEDs though: Green RDY and three red ones, D2, D3, D4 - ALL four of these are permanently lit. Given that D4 is also labelled \"ERROR\" I guess that is not a good sign Sad
I\'ve not yet done a full power-down due to the warnings on the firmware upgrade pages about that after possible failures, even though it appeared to complete correctly.
How do I proceed now?

Your UCM is not responsive. Try pressing the RESET button on the UCM and check if it sstart working again. If not try the Upgrade again with the UCM ID at 1 .  Your UCM ID should be set to 1 at this stage in order to recover from a failed upgrade (assuming that this is the case)

Okay, I will try the reset button in a few minutes.

If that does not work, how would I do the upgrade again? The ETH03 and the GSM4 are the only UCMs I have. If Comfigurator cannot talk to Comfort will it still be able to connect to do a firmware upgrade?

You may be able to do the firmware upgrade again after reset. Hopefully

I have tried reset button twice and each time the UCM immediately goes back to the same state with D2-4 red LEDs all lit up.
I have checked and my UCM/ETH03 already has the ID 1, so I have tried the \"Download firmware\" in Comfigurator and then Upload from Local file, but as soon as I do that it tries to login and then fails and says it has no connection to the UCM.
I cannot see how I can get out of this if I cannot connect to the UCM ETH03 in the first place?

Hopefully, the UCM has just failed to reset itself after the upgrade , so when you reset it works correctky

Okay, I\'ve already tried a Comfort \"reset\" the other day so I will go and do a full power down and remove the battery and see if that helps...
