G1 to G2 Upgrade woes

I am upgrading a G1 Ultra to a G1 Ultra and I cannot download from comfigurator.
The Keypads reset and say security off. I can download the time, I can reset the panels from the PC, but when I try to download anything comfigurator (2.2.2) asks me to enter F0 and the engineering code at the keypad. I try to enter 6789 and I get a wrong code message, if I enter 1234 it tells me not to enter a user code.
Also if I press a key more than 10 times the keypad stops beeping (hangs).
I do not seem to get any voice apart from security off.
Any ideas?
Also why is there not a manual for this process?

Found the problem, it only responds to the first keypad, therefore if you have a large system ( I have 6 keypads and 3 DPs) find out which is the first keypad.
Still could do with a manual for this process.
