scs backboxes
#1
Hi,

I tried to download the manual for the scs, but link not working, hence me posting in the forum. I just want to clarify the installation of an scs switch, specifically, what type of backbox is requiured. Will a standard backbox suffice. THe reason I ask, is the location I want to fit my scs in, is currently a light switch, and the light switch will be removed, so I can turn it into an SCS instead.

Anyone able to clarify ?

Thanks,

Eamon

From your description, it seems that you have only the scs switch. The scs switch shall be complemented with its respective frame. The frame will come together with a metal plate in which you insert scs legs into it. This metal plate in turn will be mounted on a wall socket (in this case your old light switch socket) permanently. Check that the size can suit this metal plate, but first of all you need to get the frame from your distributor.

Hendy,

Thanks for the reply,

I hav\'nt purchased the scs yet, just wanted to check before I get them, so will need to get frame that fits them so.

The direct link to the manual is https://www.cytech.biz/Downloads/Files/25/SCSman.pdf

The SCS is the same size as a UK wall box so it should  fit into most of them
It also comes with their own round plastic back boxes
