What I\'d really like is Comfort to have a Do-Not-Disturb mode.

I\'ve managed the speaker by turning off the announcement, the doorphone by using a relay to kill the wire (which makes me nervous about security alerts), and the phone ring to 0 doesnt work correctly as we know.
How can I make the keypad key beeps silent ?
When armed to night mode, I want peace. All these should be overridden only in case of an alarm.
Thats quite ingenious, but is silencing keypad beeps really necessary. After all unless you press them then they will not make any sound
Is the keypad in the bedroom? Perhaps it would be better outside the room if you really need complete silence?
When coming into the house at night or disarming early in the morning, those beeps are very very loud.
I want them silenced - it needs to be optional. Thats the first thing I\'ll turn off on my mobile phone.
Why do we HAVE to have beeps ?
Most people like to have auditory confirmation of each keypress. I think it is reassuring. The beeping is also used to signal when the keypad is not getting any communication from Comfort, like when there is a cable break.
One solution for you is to remove a resistor R47, which is a surface mount resistor near the JP6 \"Beep\" header. This will disable the keypad beep tone if JP6 shunt is removed. Inserting JP6 will give you the beep but at a louder volume. JP6 is nornally used to select a softer (removed) or louder beep (inserted)

You cant control this in firmware ?
We can obviously disable this in the firmware but that would mean everybody would be deprived of the keypad beeps which serves other purposes for troubleshooting and information. Having an optional setting requires all kinds of changes which is not worthwhile unless there are a significant number of users who have this requirement
Alternatively you can order a special modified silent keypad which we will do just for your purpose.
If we were to break this resistor, and then connect it inline to a comfort output, will this be ok ?
We can then turn off the output in \'night mode\' and turn it back on in the SecurityOff response ?
You can connect it to a relay connected to Comfort output, not to the output itself

No I am afraid you will have to use the method described in the previous posts. Do you find the beep too loud? Are you using the RC01 remote control?
