Comfort Automation/ Security System Forums

I have a Ultra 2 panel Firmware version 5.113 & UCM 5 Type 10 version 5.159.

I am not experiencing communications errors on the system.

After connecting the cable and trying to upgrade I get DUT not found message. Comfort is powered up and the cables is connected (once on MPU and 2 on UCM).

Also my voice has disappeared before trying this, but whenever I try to download a vocab, in the monitor window I get

It seems to try 3 times to send the first line and then fails.

Can anyone help?

Upgrading Firmware
\"DUT not found\" usually means that the device you are trying to upgrade is not connected to the UCM by the programming cable.
Check that the 6 way connector connected to Comfort has 6 wires attached to it, and not 4 wires as it is possible to mix up the two and still see 2 connectors  on the UCM and 1 on Comfort

Make sure PP2 is shunted on Comfort.
Does the Comfort have the firmware on a MPU Plug in board, or is it the type with the U1 IC on board. If it is the former, unplug the MPU and connect it to the UCM to upgrade

For Upgrading Vocabulary, what is the Comfigurator foirmware you are using?
Can you retry?
The VP00 reply after the first VL line means that it it was rejected by Comfort for some reason

Thanks for the prompt reply. The instructions I was following did not mention linking PP2, so I will re-try. (1216.html from your site)
I am using the latest beta from the site to download the vocab, I managed to do it once with the old version, but I have failed since.

to include shunting the PP2, a very important step

For the vocabulary download try with the  Comfigurator 2.2.3, after you upgrade the firmware, as the beta version 2.9.7 has a problem with vocabulary download
