Is there any limitation on which brand of aircon can turn on itself once you trigger it from panel using IR Code?

Any IR code sent will apply the function of that code (e.g. ON) to any device that understands it. 

You get IR code sets from .ifr files (see Comfigurator - Tools) or learn the code using a UCM/IR. See UCM manual for more detail on learning.
