I was doing some work on my system and I noiticed that there was a firmware upgrade available for the UCM/ETH03.
The upgrade seemed to go OK, but the device is no longer responding. If I do a scan for modules I get \"Module scan timed out. Please retry the scan later.\" Also, the Comfort Server Manager (ETH03) does not find the module.

I tried resetting the ETH03 module and that didn\'t work and I also tried uploading the previous firmware. It seemed to go OK but the version shown didn\'t change and I\'m still getting timeouts.
Any ideas?
You mean you pressed the Reset button on the ETH03 submodule?Did you try the Factory Rre-initialise procedure?

  1. Press and hold SW2 switch.
  2. Press SW1 RESET once.
  3. The Green D2 LED on the ETH03 will turn off for about 5 seconds and then turn back on.
  4. Maintain the press-and-hold of the SW2 switch until another cycle of turning off and turning on of the D2 LED on the ETH03 module. This will take around 10 more seconds.
  5. Run the CS Manager software to discover the ETH03 module.
Yes, I had done the factory re-initialse procedure. But I tried it again now to be sure, and no change. The CS Manager does not find it.
Also, I do not see it getting an IP address on the DHCP server, but the LEDs on the network connector are lit.
I think it is most likelyh that the ETH03 subkmodule has failed. what is the serial number on the submodule?

There is no serial number listed. It seems strange that the UCM firmware update would cause it to fail. I could ping the module after it failed (it had a static IP address), but once I did the factory reset, it did not respond.

Are the red D9 and Green D10 leds on the UCM Baseboard blinking. If not then the UCM is not working, it may not  be due to the eth03
Yes, D9 and D10 are blinking. I have attached a screenshot of what I see in Comfigurator.
Even if you cannot see it in CS Manager, are you able to log in on the IP address and port?
I have made some progress. Part of the problem seems to be with my PC, it cannot find the ETH03 using CS Manager. I setup Comfigurator on another PC and it detected it immediately. I could then set the configuration back to the original address. If the ETH03 uses DHCP, it does not register a host name with the DHCP server, so I could not find it there.
However, I cannot login using the ETH03 port. I can connect using the UCM/Pi, but I get errors saying \"Module scan timed out. Please retry the can later.\"
Could this be caused by the ETH03 UCM?
Can you check if the data from ETH03 is going to the UCM base board?
The LED D12 Green led blinks when data comes from eth03, The red D11 blinks when the UCM sends data to ETH03
