- Howser - 10-25-2014 I had two cases where when opening the garage door, the control panel did a soft reset. The first occurrence the alarm was in day mode (which was a concern as the panel takes a while announcing zones before re-arming). I looked at the logs and found the following Code: 10/25 12:10 DSP/Voice Fail 1The same issue was in my older logs Code: 12/03 11:31 DSP/Voice Fail 32I am using Comfigurator 3.9.2 with Ultra II version 7.061, two slaves (version 6.068) - slychiu - 10-26-2014 DSP Voice Reset occurs when the voltage to the DSP falls to a low level and the voice is disabled to prevent corruption and lost voice. Comfort automatically resets itself to recover the voice, hence \"Voice Reset\" The garage door operation may have caused the voltage on the system to drop momentarily. Perhaps due to a noise spike or could it be a problem with the backup battery? - Ingo - 10-26-2014 Running the garage door motor from the Comfort 12V supply? - Howser - 10-26-2014 Ingo wrote: Quote:Running the garage door motor from the Comfort 12V supply? No, the garage door has it\'s own 24 volt battery. - Howser - 10-27-2014 slychiu wrote: Quote:DSP Voice Reset occurs when the voltage to the DSP falls to a low level and the voice is disabled to prevent corruption and lost voice. I had a look at other logs I saved prior to noticing the two occurrences I stated, and there is an additional DSP Voice reset that did not occur when the garage door was open. - slychiu - 10-27-2014 Perhaps some instability of the AC power supply or surge getting into the system from outside The DSP reset /restore is a protective mesaure which may prevent the loss of voice RE: same error on sign-in - timop001 - 08-21-2026 (10-27-2014, 08:15 AM)slychiu Wrote: Perhaps some instability of the AC power supply or surge getting into the system from outside Just found this thread trawling through the forum. I have had the same problem of occasional random resets and the log suggests the last was on a sign-in: Code: 08/20 06:25 Sign in - User # 3Not sure why just signing in would triggers a power spike. Could it suggest battery or board are failing ? System otherwise seems fine. Comfort II ultra v7.201 plus SEM v7.142, UCM010 type 64 v7.176, KP06a, KP04, DS01 |
