			<title><![CDATA[CM9001/A with ARM processor]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[The ARM CORTEX M3 versions of CM9001, Slave.&nbsp; and UCM will replace the Toshiba 16-bit processor versions of the same products. Initially the functions of the ARM versions will be the same as the older version in order to ensure that the effort in migration are fully tested to be compatible. In future it will be easier to add functions or introduce new products with the new platform. <br />

The CPU (Left) part of the CM9001 will be replaced by the Arm CPU board while the right DSP Board will remain the same. Hence both versions of the CPU board are compatible with the current DSP Board. <br />

The new CM9001 models wil be denoted by a suffix A, eg CM9001-ULT/A, CM9001-OPT/A. CM9001-EMS/A, CM9001-EX/A, LGXA01. They will use the same file system as the old models so the cclx file and program should be unaffected if the hardware is upgraded to the new version<br />
The Slave model is SEM01/A with power sipply Board, SEM02/A without Power supply Board.<br />
UCMA/Logic is the ARM version of UCM/Logic <br />

			<description><![CDATA[CM9001 does not allow the Local Phone to access the Voice menu. The DSI01 submodule plugged onto the Analog Section is needed to provide the Local Phone control feature. DSI01 includes the Ringer (replaces RGR05 in CM9000), so this is necessary for Door stations to ring the local phone. RGR05 cannnot be used with CM9001.<br />

<li>Provides an additional RS485 Bus connector (separate from the main RS485 Bus) and 12V supply for Door stations and other peripherals (eg UCM, Slaves, keypads etc). This additional RS485 Bus provides redundancy as when 1 bus is shorted, the other RS485 bus can continue to operate. The 2 RS485 busses should not be connected together Ã¢â¬â they should be connected to different Rs485 peripherals.</li>

The new power supply can be used for all countries (with all the regulatory and safety approvals) and is much lighter, and is more efficient ie it takes much less current from the mains power supply compared to a transformer. The correct transformer /power supply MUST be used with the matching DSP Board ie Transformer with CM9000 DSP, power supply TT01-0022 with CM9001 DSP. Other than that the CM9001 and CM9000 CPU and DSP boards can be interchanged.<br />

The DSP board or right half includes the DSP, voice flash memory, and telephone interface. The reason for spliiting up the CM9000/CM9001 into 2 parts is to allow easier inventory control.<br />

The CPU and DSP boards can be interchanged between CM9000 and CM9001, ie CPU from CM9000 and be connected to DSP from CM9001 and vice versa. However the restriction is that the DSP board must be connected to the appropriate power supply, ie CM9000 DSP with the old AC Transformer, and CM9001 DSP with the new Switched DC power supply.&nbsp; The combination of CM9001 CPU with CM9000 DSP has a part designation, CM9000B which needs the AC transformer.<br />

This should not be much of a problem since the new Power supply is light and small and can be mounted without difficulty even though ther may not be mounting holes in the old EN01 enclosure for the power supply.<br />
