Comfigurator 4 can be installed with Comfigurator 3.x.x in the PC, This allows the old comfigurator 3 to be used eg with old cclx files if necessary due to compatibility problems

This affects new installations of Comfigurator on new PCs with new versions of Windows
Comfigurator installation requires .NET 3.5 to be installed, and will prompt for download and installation if it is not found on the PC.

When you try to install the downloaded .NET3.5 you may get a message \"a later version of .NET is already installed\" and this prevents you from going ahead with Comfigurator installation. If this happens go to Control Panel > programs and features.
Check the box for .NET Framework 3.5 shown below.

.NET 4.8 does not include .NET 3.5
The next version of Comfigurator will fix this problem or give instructions

It\'s a minor issue but there is no consistency of numbering between UCM Id (set by dip-switch) and their order in the chain #.

As an example I have a system with 3 UCMs set with Id 1, 2 and 4. That system works fine of course.Since there are only 3 UCMs, the number of UCMs should not be reported as 4 in Comfigurator.Interesting email alerts will send messages like \"RS485Comms by: UCM: #3 14/09/2024 20:46:11\" so the system is self aware that there is a UCM #3 even if there no Id3.

Is it possible to fix counting of UCMs in Comfigurator?
I have not thought too much about the implications but if Comfigurator is aware of Name and Type of UCMs, why not make the email alerts more explicit with Id, number, Name, Type. Perhaps something like \"RS485Comms by: UCM: Id\'4\' #3 Name\'UCM_KNX2\' Type\'KNX2\' date\". Honestly the number #3 does not add much, only the Id is helpful to find the relevant UCM as well as Name and Type of course.

Screenshots are attached one by one over several posts.Thank you
If you are setting up or diagnosing a system there are multiple things that just do not work first time.
- on many occasions when performing a \'scan for modules\' items get re-name and re-arranged- other times the scan dos not pick up the correct device number on the first pass
Its been like it for years but I just now think everybody that uses comfort just accepts it - surely t can be improved its terrible!

If the Comfort system does not have a UCM at ID1, Scanning for modules using UCM at another ID or ETH03 plugged in to CM9001 will show the result shown below. UCM ID1 (which is not present) has UCM Type shown as OTHER and Firmware is 255.255. This will be fixed in the next version (currently 3.13.9). It otherwise has no effect on the functions of Comfigurator so do not worry

Edit Action Codes Changes view of Response

Note that from 3.13.6, if you use \"Edit Action Codes\" for a Response in which there is more than 1 condition, for example

If Counter Counter001 = 3 And Flag Flag002 = 0 Then
    Pulse Output001(1) For 10
End If

After Edit action Codes, the Response will be changed to the below

Get Counter Counter001(1)
BranchIfNotEqual 8 3
Get Flag Flag002(2)
BranchIfNonZero 3
Pulse Output001(1) For 10

Do not worry, the Function of the Response is not changed, because the action codes remain unchanged, ie

81,1, 146,8,3, 132,2,2, 115,3, 130,10,1, 255

The reason for this is to allow Read fron Comfort - Responses are not changed by Comfigurator. ie the raw Action Codes are not changed by a Read from Comfort so that the working of the Response is unchanged.
Read from Comfort has the same effect on Response has Edot Action Codes
