Wizcomfort is being replaced by the new User Mode in Comfigurator 3.8 which will continue to be enhanced.
Wizcomfort does not work with cclx files generated by Comfiguratror 3.8.x

The original intention of wizcomfort was to run on a wall mount windows screen but that idea is no longer viable. The look is outdated now.

It is difficult to keep maintaining Wizcomfort as a separate application, and almost all the functionality has been brought into User Mode

If there is anything missing in User Mode which you found useful in WizComfort, let us know

Also we now have separate apps for iPad, iPhone, Android Tablet and Android Phone. The android phone and tablet apps are being revamped see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum110/3804.html and http://www.comfortforums.com/forum110/3810.html
We also recommend the excellent ComfortClient, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/ which is very good value for money and very powerful. The purpose of the Wizcomfort is

As a user interface able to access locally by USB or Ethernet, or remotely by Ethernet In fact USB connection would normally be used only at installation time by the installer, while the user would connect by Ethernet local or remote.

To allow User-level programming without having to use Comfigurator so they do not change the important engineer settings eg Time program times, record messages

To assist during Testing and Commissioning of Comfort

The New Features and Changes are;

Saved UCM Connection Settings
Adding an ip address to cam1 causes the wiz comfort program to lock up. Upon entering it comes up with a windows exception and will not load - you have to remove the .cclx file then the file allocation window comes up first which gives you a chance to remove the camera.

Hi,

Just started using wizcomfort, and everything seems to be working, except sensors (scs temp etc) and flags do not seem to be reporting back ? All are status = unkown ?

Also, just a lazy query, but is there any way to use comfigurator to apply the f0 function for downloading files etc via comfigurator rather than having to manually do it at the keypad everytime ?

Thanks,

Hi

If you are planning a new update to wizcomfort, could you consider the following possible enhancements.

Add a Smartfit tab to Setup>Options and here:

(a) Allow each of the feedbacks on the tabs to be mapped to specific counters. The reason for this is then we are not then constrained to the base counters that Smartfit writes too. For example (as noted in other threads) I\'ve remapped certain counters to other counters to correct the \"69\" setpoint issue; this then reports transparently through the control menu options. Also you can do F to C or C to F modifications etc on the counters. Also then you don\'t need the base counter address (although you could use this to default counters if you wanted or if you ever get around to fixing the firmware). The Base counter tends to error anyway...\"The Smartfit base counter is invalid (too big)!\"...when reading the CCL(CCLX) so be glad to see the back of that error

(b) Get rid of \"Override room temp setpoint\" feedback as this doesn\'t do anything as you\'ve already noted in the manual and in previous thread discussions. This counter is now \"reserved\" in config.

© For \"Hot Water Demand\" feedback I only think you need one or the other in the main tab; ie \"Electric\" or \"Gas/Oil\". Perhaps you can have both setup in the options page, allow mapping to counters as per (a) and have a checkbox against each that toggles visibility or not on the main tab. The renderer for that tab only renders the ones which are checked as visible. Then most people can have one only but just in case there is a wierd setup where people can have \"Electric\" or \"Gas/Oil\" then your bases are covered.

(d) The \"Overide Heating and Hot Water Scheduler Modes\" action; it\'s not clear to me the difference in the righthand pane between what the On/Off field does versus the on/off radio buttons under \"Heater\" and \"Hot Water\" panels. Perhaps clarify text/help on what this does as to me confusing!.

Obviously a lot more outside other things that have fallen behind but these are my Smartfit wishes.

We have identified a problem where WizComfort does not appear to load the CCL file contents correctly. This is caused by the CCL file being located in another PC on the same network and not on the PC running WizComfort itself. We would advise all users to locate the CCL file on the PC running WizComfort while we work on a fix.
Thanks to palmlodge for bringing this issue to our attention.
