Can anyone offer help in selecting a simple none programmable room thermostat? The Cytec TSM01 unfortunately has an external sensor and the cost for 3 would be similar to going down the Heatmiser route. Are there any better alternatives, which are easily programmed, or is the Heatmiser the best option? It has to be 12volt as it’s already pre-wired.

Does the heatmiser touchpad affect the usage of the comfort ucm, or will they work together ok? I\'ve got the heatmiser system hooked up via a rs232 adaptor to my pc and using a serial port monitor there is so much traffic from the touchpad that it\'s hard to see how anything can coexist with it!!

Ultimately my goal would be to replace the heatmiser touchpad and use the comfort ucm to perform the functions instead like setting temps, putting single or groups of stats into setback (frost protection), changing heating timers, boosting the hot water etc. how many of these functions can be performed via the ucm?]]>

If I do a HM learn on my HM WiFi  it reads the eeprom and I can map counters and flags etc. I can write back these changes to the eeprom and at runtime all looks to be OK and I can see values changing (in my Object Matrix BTW!! :0)).

What is confusing me though is that if I re-read the eeprom then the configuration returned is blank in comfigurator. Surely this isn\'t correct behaviour?

I\'m using latest firmware\'s for HM/Eth3 and comfigurator.

If I do a HM learn on my HM WiFi  it reads the eeprom and I can map counters and flags etc. I can write back these changes to the eeprom and at runtime all looks to be OK and I can see values changing (in my Object Matrix BTW!! :0)).

What is confusing me though is that if I re-read the eeprom then the configuration returned is blank in comfigurator. Surely this isn\'t correct behaviour?

Firstly, can you put the thermostat in \'frost protection set back\' mode? E.g. by setting the \'Thermostat\' flag in comfort it turns the whole thermostat off - LCD and all... On the thermostats they have a \'power\' button which when press turns off the program and turns on \'frost protection\' mode, and the snowflake appears on the thermostat. This would allow me to \'set back\' when going into vacation mode...

Secondly - I\'m finding I often have to write values twice. For example I have 5 thermostats on the network (plus a NetMonitor, which was off during learn) and I have a a Response that sets the \'Theromstat\' flag on them all off. I find if I run the Response it doesn\'t always hit them all, but if I run it twice it does. Any ideas?

Finally - \'Get Status\' in Comfigurator is greyed out, so I can\'t see any status information....

Looking good though, another nice easy integration which makes life easier than using IR codes etc...
