This is possible without any Response programming by using the Status Outputs feature in Comfigurator

This allows any outputs to be assigned to the Status functions required for connection to a communicator like Redcare or Dualcom

Note that this works with Comfort 2 Firmware version 7 only, not Comfort 1

It may be beneficial to Know that we have tested a comfort unit using a test account at a central monitoring station in the UK and I can confirm that Comfort was able to be set up with ease using contact ID and all the tests that we conducted were satisfactory.

I think that in the past the monitoring side of comfort has been over looked as it was thought to be complicated and expensive. .........

The fact is that Comfort does NOT require STU or digital dial out units added on - it will simply dial out over the phone line. This makes comfort a very attractive proposition if monitoring is a requirement.

Firstly is there a default file .cclx for setting up remote monitoring. the old

This has never made any sense at all to me for obvious reasons. Does anyone honestly believe that this is a more secure method than alternatives?

Cytech has declared that Comfort does comply to EN50131 and PD6662. Could we have made such an error in missing out a key requirement like this?

We have re-read through all the regulations to find the exact clauses which mandate the use of keyfobs. After this search we conclude that there is [color=\"#ff0000\"]NO such requirement in either EN50131 and PD6662[/color]
There is NO mention of such a requiremnent at all. Please enlighten us if anyone can find otherwise

In DD243:2004, \"Installation and Configuration of Intruder Alarm Systems Designed to Generate confirmed Alarm Conditions - Code Practice\"
Section 6.3 states that the Means of Completion of setting should be one of the following;

Shunt Lock fitted to Final Exit Door
Push Button switch fitted to final exit door
Door contact fitted to Final Exit Door
PACE ie Portable Alarm Control Equipment, ie keyfob

Shunt Lock fitted to Final Exit Door
Push Button switch fitted to final exit door
Door contact fitted to Final Exit Door
PACE ie Portable Alarm Control Equipment, ie keyfob

(1) can be installed easily and connected to a Comfort zone to arm and disarm
(2) is achieved using Exit Terminator on a zone or Door station
(3) is Final Door arm

The misconception that a keyfob is a requirement must have been a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the regulation which has been spread through the industry, and I believe is causing great damage to the industry.

great product - I had alot of fun playing with them at the CEDIA expo.

Is there any news on the comfort products becoming EN50131 accredited? We\'re SSAIB registered but we would really like to install the comfort products as it provides a great mix of homeautomation and security services
