Voice versions

I see in the Vocabulary section on the website the Kate & Myma voices are available for download up to version 39.

However in Comfigurator 4.0.4 it looks like version 43 are included?

For a new system should version 43 be used? I am also wondering why the website has older versions for download, but not 43 for instance.

Vocabulary Corrupt after transfer

Comfort 2 Ultra 7.116 FS 34, Comfigurator 3.13.9.0
I generated a custom vocabulary a few years ago and the system has been working fine.
I recently decided some Responses needed updating. I upgraded to the latest Comfigurator version and the config folder contained all the necessary new voice files including TN.bin/cfg, sentence.cfg, vocab.cfg, vocust.cfg

When I transferred the new responses (full transfer) the vocab is now reporting lost/corrupted. Vocab name is \"lost/corrupted\" and Custom vocab is reported a \"No\".
I have tried rebooting the alarm from off, unplgging the battery - but no effect.
What should I do next ? Vocab upgrade ?
Don\'t understand why it has done this when it was quite happy with the custom vocab before.

Vocabulary failure and update

I did a minor update from PC to Comfort using Configurator. The Vocab failed and both panels gave the message NO TEXT DATA, DOWNLOAD ABORTED. This had happened previously. I did a Vocab Upgrade using the forum instructions and myma43.bin. The download proceeded, Vocab, Sentence table and LCD, then I reset Comfort. The voice on the control panels was restored but not the sentence table (still reporting \"zone 4\" etc. I did the Sentence table upgrade, reset Comfort, still no Sentence table (done twice). I did a PC to Comfort transfer, still no Sentence table. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I did a minor update using Comfigurator 3.13.7.0
My comfort File System: 34, Firmware: 254, Version: 7, Revision: 63, Vocab name: English Residential, Custom: False, Vocab Version: 39. I made some minor changes to my most recent .cclx file (changing summer watering system timings to winter settings; no changes in the vocab area).
When I transferred the file from computer to system I got the \"fail\" message above.
What do I need to do to correct the error.

Vocab Upgrade Failure

I picked a problem with my Vocabulary (voice) on my keypad. The keypad is not picking up the text file (according to the error received on the keypad). Then I tried to do a Vocab Upgrade. After the indicator goes to 0%, it almost immediately displays an error Vocab Errors on the screen (using Comfigurator V3.13.6.0).
Not sure what else I can do to fix this scenario? The rest of the Comfort system seems to work fine.
Any suggestions?

I want to replace a few words in the vocabulary, so I downloaded the voiceproc software but I have no idea what to do. The links to the voiceproc.pdf file don\'t work, so does anyone have a simple guide to just making a few substitutions?

Vocabulary Issues

I\'m not sure what has happened but during my updates and reprogramming I have lost my Vocabulary, I have tried updating using Myma39 in an attempt to rectify this but I get the beeps on the keypad and then I get a vocab errors message. Can you advise on how I fix this.

WRONG TEXT - Vocab Upgrade doesnt help

Hi,
After an upgrade to 7.148 all 3 KP06 keypads now show \"WRONG TEXT\". The voice works, I tried vocab upgrade with 2 different vocab files (Myma 3.9 and Kate 3.7) but it has not resolved the issue. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Vocabulary Upgrade Error 15 or 16

If the Vocabullary Upgrade process is stopped by Error 15 or 16, ie
VP0015 or VP0016
The cause has been found to be due to the keypad interupting the upgrade at the precise time to cause an error in the Vocab Upgrade
This happens in certain systems perhaps 10 to 20% of the time
The next Firmware > 7.144 should fix this
If you get this error in the meantime, try disconnecting the keypads (KA/KB will do) before doing Vocab Upgrade

Vocab Upgrade Failure (stop at 23%, 50%)

I decided to change some of the words in the vocabulary using Voiceproc. When I tried to upload the .bin file using Comfigurator, it froze at 23% and then timed out with a failure message saying to try again. I did as instructed and it failed at exactly the same point. The keypad showed an error message saying there was no text data. I did as suggested in the Voiceproc manual and performed a sentence upload and that fixed the text problem but the keypad was speaking in garbled sentences
e.g. \"No message\" became \"Option holiday\", \"Thank-you, goodbye\" is \"Seven zero alert\" and \"Welcome, security off\" is \"One security off.\"
I tried restoring back to the standard Myma39 vocab with identical results - it froze at 23% and the garbled sentences are exactly the same.
Looking at previous threads, I saw instances of similar failures which were resolved by downgrading/upgrading firmware but this did not work for me. Every time, it has onsistently failed at 23%.
Before I started this process, all firmware and software were on the latest versions.
I\'d be grateful for any suggestions as to how to fix this.

Comfort 2 DSP/Voice Fail

I have no voice on my recently upgraded comfort 2 and on checking the history log the DSP/Voice Fail has occurred and I have tried resetting the panel. Please advise what my next step should be.

Hi,

A few days ago my comfort II systems started announcing \"zero\" repeatedly. I did a system reset, and the received a \"wrong text\" displayed on my KP06s. I did a vocabulary/sentence/LCD date upgrade and the system is now back to normal, except that all the zones are displayed and announced by their zone number, i.e. Zone 1, instead of front door.

I am not sure how to resolve this, and would appreciate any assistance.

Vocabulary Upgrade gets stuck at 9% with UCM/ETH03

ETH03 firmware 2.20 has a bug when UCM/ETH03 is used to Upgrade Vocabulary. The Vocab upgrade gets stuck at arounn 9%.
UCM Monitor IO will show as below;

Text data error

I\'m not sure if this is the correct area of the forum for this.

I have recently uploaded an amended configuration file. It seems to be working OK but the keypads have \'No text data download aborted\' on the screen.
If I reset the system and try to upload the file again I get \' The wordlist selected is different from the vocabulary programmed in comfort. Do you wish to continue with the transfer?\'

I am using Comfort II Ultra v7.099, file system 34 vocabulary number 255 with no custom vocabulary. System and user vocabulary are shown as \'0\'. UCM is 10 version 7.076.

What do you recommend to fix this?

System Error No vocab entry found for Standard residential

Upgrading to Comfort II with a board I bought back in 2010 (don\'t ask why it has taken so long!)
Using Comfiguratior 3.11.10.0.Upgraded the ULT34 firmware to latest 7.xx
Translated the previous .ccl fileover to .cclx ULT34.Notice some words used previously have change so amended them but system basically works other than Comfigurator throwing System.Exceptions errors reading vocust.cfg (see attached screen shots). No entry found for Standard residential. I have tried to change this to English residential in Comfigurator but doesn\'t seem to have an effect.
Also the system report seems to show all them vocabulary parameter as 0...
Do I update Comfort II vocab? Sentence only?If so which files do I use??
