Just one final point, My motherboard is version \'outside 4.102\'. Will this definately work with a version 5 UCM?
As a further point, is there a UCM which connects via USB rather than serial?

Outside (PRO) firmware should work with UCM05. However you may also want to upgrade to the last released Comfort I firmware which is Ultra 4.234 with a new U4. The U1 firmware IC replaces the U1 in the socket. Same with the U4 EEPROM
