Excellent all moving in the right direction......

- would it be a good idea when signing in to somehow suggest that the * key is not needed and # keys should be used (well not when signing in but IS required ONCE signed in!) (perhaps use it for signing in as well - just to be consistent as it is required on the KP03/4 keypads!)

- Using a C1 board when arming - there is not count down visible on the iphone (as there is in red on the C2 board when arming)

- Using C1 board - i can sign in to main screen and arm BUT when i enter the code 1234# to disarm it tells me \"Code Entry wrong code entred\"!

- consistency of graphic design across all software - see other posts

The * key is not required at all in the iPhone app
It could well be removed
The * key is used on a telephone or keypad if you do not want to disarm the system, but wish to access the voice menu As there is no voice on the iPhone keypad it does not matter if you press the  * or not. The only reason for entering a code on the keypad is to disarm the security system

Comfort I is not compatible with the app. As it states, the minimum requirement is Comfort II 5.215 and UCM 6.002

- the * key - its all about being consistent - you HAVE to have it for remote access using the telephone part of the phone so why not leave it in for ALL access instances THEN the customer will not get so confused.

- C1 not compatible I really do not think that this is a good idea! I realise that as a marketing tool you think that you will get more upgrades. weather this is or is not the case I am strongly of the opinion that you should make the app compatible with C1 systems. Perhaps offer the very basic arm and disarm pages and no more.

I think that you should do a pole on this subject - in terms of extra work - it already works apart from the bug i pointed out in the last e-mail, as a C1 app that is all you need no more.

By all means use it as a teaser but don\'t simply rule out all the 1000\'s of C1 users that have systems that work perfectly well and dont want to spend £1000\'s upgrading in order to initiate a free app.

It is not practical to make Comfort I compatible with new applications like the Comfort iPhone app.

It is like saying Comfort I should have all the features that Comfort 2 now has

Support for the app means is not related to the app itself, it means adding commands in Comfort to support the communications and this cannot be added to a discontinued product where many of the key electronic components are no longer in production. There is already a very affordable upgrade path of Comfort I to II at a significant discount see  http://www.comfortforums.com/forum25/1403.html

The app is another incentive to upgrade.

Everything takes time.
The more important things need to be done first like the release of the app and other improvements in Comfort

IMHO if people are tech saavy enough to want the latest and greatest iphone model then surely they are the type of people that would also be \"chomping at the bit\" for the latest Comfort setup too?   

I dont think it\'s unreasonable of Cytech to specify Gen II as the minimum version to support this new app especially as it\'s been out for a few years now. 

But hey that\'s just my opinion, knowing what it takes to build software like this.

Of course everything takes time - appreciated BUT if you are not planning to have a consistent approach to the graphic design of ALL software from the onset then its not going to happen.

What i\'m talking about here is brand awareness peoples perception of the overall \'product\' not weather the app works or what it looks like on its own.

Get the app relaesed and then worry about the graphics will in my opinion not give you the best end result

Hi, I cant seem to get the internet connection working, the port field seems to keep defaulting back to http://93.95 etc etc, rather than the port number that I set (10002). I can get it working over lan, but everyime i try and re-enter the correct port number fopr internet, it does not seem to save and goes back to the http://xxxxxxx text!

This is a bug in that page

If your cursor is in the PORT field, you cannot hit the RETURN button to get rid of the onscreen keyboard
Move the cursor to one of the IP address fields then hit Return. The value you have enteretd into the port field should remain there
