ComfortClient for Windows Mobile

I was wondering how difficult it is to adapt the Client to Windows Mobile devices? Is there a way to \"convert\" to an app?

Hi Chiu

I\'m assuming you mean Windows Phone rather than the older Windows mobile platform. Short answer it that the technology is very different to windows forms and would be a lot of work from what i know right now.

we dont know if this would take off compared to iOS and Android

I also think that if I develop for mobile then I\'m moving away from my original design goals of having a graphical interface of reasonable size that is multithreaded (Windows phone doesnt seem to allow that) and is extensible.

What I am interested in though is the tablet idea as these have a reasonable screen footprint, and whilst I dont have one to try, I believe ComfortClient would just work on the Windows variant as it is now. Anyone tried one with the Client and Touchscreen?

..and not to mention that it is just my hobby too rather that my day job so time to fit a new platform development in is limited to evenings and weekends whilst constantly dodging those looks from my wife of lack of attention!

All of that said I was thinking about a plugin for ComfortClient that could render screens to mobile devices in realtime but hey that\'s still on the drawing board and youd still need to have your PC running at the core for it to remote feed.

Lots of ideas, so little time!

There is talk of a browser based iPhone app -i.e. you create the iPhone graphics on a web page and this is then accessible from the app. This may be of interest?
