Just installed the UCM/Heatmiser and integrating with my heatmiser network.
Couple of questions...
Firstly, can you put the thermostat in \'frost protection set back\' mode? E.g. by setting the \'Thermostat\' flag in comfort it turns the whole thermostat off - LCD and all... On the thermostats they have a \'power\' button which when press turns off the program and turns on \'frost protection\' mode, and the snowflake appears on the thermostat. This would allow me to \'set back\' when going into vacation mode...
Secondly - I\'m finding I often have to write values twice. For example I have 5 thermostats on the network (plus a NetMonitor, which was off during learn) and I have a a Response that sets the \'Theromstat\' flag on them all off. I find if I run the Response it doesn\'t always hit them all, but if I run it twice it does. Any ideas?
Finally - \'Get Status\' in Comfigurator is greyed out, so I can\'t see any status information....
Looking good though, another nice easy integration which makes life easier than using IR codes etc...

The Frost Protection parameter is a Read only value
The Frost Protection setpoint temperature can be changed via a counter
There is another parameter Run Mode that can be changed (0 = heating, 1 = Frost Protect, 2 = Cooling) that may be used to change the mode. Currently it is not one of the parameters mapped to Comfort. We will see if that can work in the next firmware
For the problem of having to run responses twice, it may be the Netmonitor interfering on the bus. Can you remove Netmonitor and test is the error still happens
If it is due to Netmonitor, we may have to look other ways like repeat the transmission

Thanks ident - that Run Mode parameter would be particularly valuable if it could be integrated.
Will do some testing without NetMonitor - do you know if it makes a difference if it is physically connected and powered down? E.g. the easiest thing for me to do is simply power it down but would it still leave a load on the rs485 network?

Powering down should be OK, it should not affect the bus if properly designed

I\'ve now tried turning off the NetMonitor and its no different, most Responses need two \'shots\' to get all the thermostats.
Is the heatmiser network topology important? I have 5 x Thermostats, 2 x UH-1 and 1 x NetMonitor. All the stats wire back to the UH-1\'s with them and the netmonitor wired in a daisy chain, with the UCM daisy chained on from the netmonitor via some structured cabling...

did you connect the 12V supply from UH1 to the 12V into the Heatmiser plug in board? This provides an isolated 12V supply to the plug in module
When the 1st response does not work, which are the thermostats that see the command and which do not. Can this be isolated to the ones that are connected to 1 of the UH1s?
Why are there 2 UH1s?

The UCM/Heatmiser I have I believe is an \'early\' version that has the RS485 on the base board, thus has no separate 12V terminals... Could that be related?
The thermostats affected are not always the same, it seems variable. I would say first time I get 50% of the thermostats, and 2nd time I get the rest - but which ones are variable...
I have 2 UH1\'s as I have three Underfloor Zones and 2 Radiator Zones. A UH1 can only support one Radiator zone, so I have 3 UF and 1 Rad on one, and just 1 Rad on the other... I believe they are passive to the RS485 though?

Hi, simond,which firmware you are using for the UCM heatmiser,7.029,7.031 or 7.033? by the way, can you check your setting for heatmiser module about the output delay, temporary you can set to zero and see your response any difference...
