I think that would be the case, but I\'m not sure why this board was needed.
What should I read on the sensor output, when the circuit is closed ?

If you have a continuity setting, then the Multimeter will beep when you get a closed connection, otherwise use the resistance setting and check for close to zero ohms.

OK, managed to get a replacement. Its again operacional.
Still don\'t know the origin (maker) of the board....
