Battery Warning Slave Board 2
#1
Hi - We had a power failure last week whilst the alarm was set, which triggered the Battery Warning Slave Board 2 warning. We knew the battery was due for replacement, so ordered a new battery and have replaced it today.

However, the red AC and green OFF lights are still blinking and I\'m not sure how to reset the system. Can anyone tell me how to do this, and whether or not I will need to reinstall any codes etc if I go through this process.

Many thanks. I have Comfigurator software installed if that is easier to use.

Fixed it now - found the reset option, took a deep breath and clicked it - was worried it would reset / wipe everything, but it just cleared the problem.Smile

That is right
After a slave has a low battery condition, it needs to be reset in order to clear it

It is quite safe to reset the system whenever you want

Imagine if you had a pc which erased the hard disk when you reboot it

Hah - yes, fair point!

To test the battery I\'ve read that I need to turn off the AC power - is there a simple way to do this? Sorry for such a dull question but we\'ve inherited the system and I\'m on a learning curve!

If you want to measure the voltage on the battery with a multimeter you should switch off the power. It may be difficult in the UK as it is supposed to be connected to an unswitched power outlet.

To do a system battery test, press F31 on the keypad
This tests the battery by disconecting the AC internally for 2 minutes and running the system on battery. If a low battery voltage is detected, the system reports Battery warning and ends the test. Comfort will do the test every 24 hours from the last bettery test

Ok - we have done that, and the voice says \"battery test\" but nothing seems to happen - I assume this is a good sign and means that everything is ok. Is it usual then to leave the system to test itself every 24 hours indefinitely so that I\'d be alerted by phone if it found a problem? Thank you for your help Smile

No result for battery test is good

You can leave the battery test  running every 24 hours, but it is not necessary to have Comfort call you, unless there is a power failure at the same time.  The weak battery should still work the system for a few hours if there is a power failure

There should be  plenty of  time to change the battery
