Android App not downloading the file
#1
I cant be the only person having difficulty with the Android App? Chiu has tested my .jcrlccip file and it works with him.   It also downloads and works fine on my partners Iphone.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8.I cannot get the downloaded file to sync with the App. The app works and can set and unset Comfort, but there is no control or schedule items to see. I have double clicked the attachment, I have imported the attachment and i have tried emailing it to 3 separate email accounts - none of them now show up or work with the App.

I deleted the local IP address, which was manually inserted and communicating with comfort for security on/off, but this IP information was not downloaded in the file, which the forum says should happen. It has been working fine for a good few years, until I downloaded a new updated file and it stopped. I have deleted the App many times, deleted all the backup information on my Samsung phone. I am using the latest Comfigurator V3.13.5.0.... HELP

Have you tried changing the name of the cclx file so the file sent to your phone is different?
Do you have any antivirus on your phone?

Thanks Chiu, The file name changes every time I make a change to Comfort, I save it under a new file name, so yes I have tried many different files, which incidentally work fine on iPhone.

I have McAfee antivirus and i tried disabling it, but the force stop button is grey\'ed out, so I completely removed the antivirus. -  Still it will not import into Comfort App and there is no error message.

I have again removed the Comfort mobile App  and reinstalled it and when I go to the email with the file attached OR click on Import within the App I get a message Unknown Host. Perhaps by clicking ok means it does not download?

I thnik the file has been changed in some way by the phone. Ca you go to the download folder, find the  jrlccip file and send it to support@cytech.biz
Also Do you have another android phone you can try/.?

Can you confirm that you have done the following steps
  1. when the email arrives in the phone , click the download button
  2. In the Cytech App, Press the  Setup button
  3. Select the Profile, eg Default if you do not have any other profile
  4. In the Setup Profile page, press the Import Button
  5. Browse to the downloads folder in the phone, select the jrlccip file that you have downloaded. Check the date if your phone allows you do do that. The file size should be several Kilobytes. If it is very small the file may not be downloaded correctly
  6. Go back to setup and check that the LOcal IP and Remote IP addresses are as configured in the cclx file

I have tried all that again. I have removed the IP addresses and it says unknown host and they are not inserted when the file is downloaded. If I put the IP address back in it will set and unset Comfort.I have tried downloading the file from the App and double clicking the file in the file folder and nothing.I have removed the McAfee anti Virus software completely and still the file does not load in the App Sad

Can you check the file size of the jrlccip file? Oy should be several KB, not a few bytes. Using the Gmail app to download the file causes errors

Please see this post which may be the reason why Gmail is not working for downloading the app. http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=5293&forum_id=110
