Anyone know if it is possible to change the alarm ringing time to 10mins. Current default appears to be 5mins.
Assume that the alarm box has a default cutoff after 20mins.
Thanks,
System: The system is a CP9000ULTII with firmware 5.054 Bellbox has a battery, and no intelligence to stop.

Under \"Comfigurator/Security Type Settings/Siren Types\" adjust the \"Duration\" (seconds) to suit your needs.

Surely the EN versions should ring for 20 min as default?
I am sure there are differences in the requirements of the EN versions and NON EN versions (I dont have access to a copy of the standard) surely there then should be different default files?

There is a template called PD6662.cct in Comfigurator (File > New) which has the recommended settings for EN50131
I dont think the siren must be set to 20 minutes for EN50131, that would be considered too long in any jurisdiction. I cannot find any reference to the siren duration in the standards, althought I may be wrong

Not sure either without reading the specs but the bell duration is likley to be over ridden by local bylaws over noise and nusence. Think by default many bell boxes have thier own 15-20 minute internal timer which if expires before the input will stop the bell anyhow.
Either way it is unlikely that bells are going to be your primary way of singnaling an alarm.

I have just looked in Comfig 2.2.3 but could not find PD default?
As cytech is supposed to ONLY be supplying the EN compliant versions of Comfort to Europe would it not be a good idea to MAKE SURE THAT installers when programming start with the CORRECT default file...........
Can I sugggest that there is a pop up menu when you launch comfig pointing you towards the correct template for tour install!

The PD6662.cct file should be included in Comfigurator 2.2.3. It is a template file ie .cct not a ccl file. You open it by File > New. You can make this or any cct file the default template every time in Options > Default template and specifying the cct file. The pd6662.cct file is attached anyway
It is not really correct to say that we should be having only the EN versions in Europe. Not all alarm systems are required to be compliant, only those which require police response or insurance reduction in certain cases, and that would probably require NACOSS or SSAIB installers in any case. The standard is also not implemented in many countries in Europe including some that I visited recently. EN or PD6662 compliance also depends on the installation and the installer - the product only needs to be able to comply to the requirements, which Comfort does. It would cause considerable annoyance to force installers to start with the PD6662 template when it is really needed for a small minority of systems.
