Comfort II, Slave and UCM flash-based firmware can be upgraded using a UCM/232, UCM/USB or UCM/Ethernet Module (firmware 5.156 and above) and the Comfigurator software version 2.2.3 and above or Comfigurator 3. This applies only to Comfort II products. Comfort I firmware is upgraded by buying a U1 IC upgrade of the correct firmware type
Flash firmware can be identified by the version number being higher than 5.100.
Pre-Flash firmware < 5.100 for Comfort II can be upgraded by getting a MPU plug in module which has Flash firmware. The MPU01 module plugs in on top of the PCB to replace the firmware underneath. The MPU01 has flash firmware which can be upgraded in future.
UCM firmware 5.178 and above should be used for firmware upgrade as it does not require a prior login, and can recover from an error during the upgrading process.
Upgrade firmware .cbf files can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/upgrades.html
Please note that only firmware of the same type can be used to upgrade a module. For example, Comfort Ii Ultra can only be upgraded with Comfort II Ultra firmware, Slave SEM can only be upgraded with Slave firmware etc.
