How To Arm Security From Colour C-Touch
#1
I\'ve been messing around with the settings long enough now, and haven\'t had any luck, so i\'m crying out for help....

Scenario:
I have an existing colour C-Touch running a factory, and want to be able to arm the Comfort from the c-touch as it is at the other end to the Keypad. I have the c-bus UCM, and it works fine (ie through the home automation menu on the comfort)). I have added a button to my existing ctouch page for \"security arm\" with the following settings:

Key Function: Preset
Network: Factory
Application: Comfort (Application Address 49, cant get 208 as in kt01 example)
Group Address:Arm(165)
and i have tried both of:
To level: 52%
and to Tag: Away (001)

Nothing happens when i hit the \"security arm\" button....
any ideas?

In Piced version 4, the security application is built in so you do not have to find Application 208 anymore
To arm to Away Mode, go to the Special Function Tab, select \"Security Arm\" as Special function and Arm Mode = \"Away\", see the screen attached

Ok,
That has helped me a lot. I can now arm from the c-touch.

So does this mean you can only do this in a touch, not in a PAC?

I am not familiar with a PAC As long as it supports the Security Application, you can arm and get security status
By the way, Comfort has If/Then logic functions so it can perform the Logic engine functions of the PAC

You are right, that is indeed a better option. Thank you.
