This is the correct forum for X10 and related devices
We have tested the 4809UK interface. It replaces the XM10E for connection to the power line, and it does work, except that if you try to send X10 commands immediately one after the other, it causes the interface to hang for some reason
You need to put in a delay of about 3 seconds between successive commands

Thanks for the response. I am looking for a low cost and reliable method of switching lights & appliances. PLCBUS would seem to fit the bill, but this will depend on whether Comfort & the interface can make use of the more advanced features. When sending a command, does Comfort or the interface request and wait for an ACK from the PLCBUS module? If not, sending a status request after the command to check that it had worked would be OK if it can be done quickly, but the need to wait 3 seconds between commands makes this impractical. Any ideas would be most welcome.

The interface to PLCBus is via the XM10E or X10 interface so these advanced features of PLCbus are not available.
