Hi,

Are any developemnets in this area planned.   Three features would be beneficial in my view.

(1) Support more than one simultaneous connection.  I see from the Tibbo site for example that the EM1000 does this?

(2) Less important,  and probably comes with (1) anyway,  but support for 100BaseT.  Who still uses 10BaseT these days!! . 

(3)  Implement as a replacement daughterboard and firmware upgrade for existing UCM technology.

What do you think?

Thanks for the suggestions. Multiple simultaneous connections may be god However we will need to see if there are any concerns or side effects. For example, when more than one user signs in at a time to the UCM, because it takes the last sign in as the logged in user, and it will not know that two users have logged in. Hence the 1st user may have the 2nd users authorisations

I totally agree that nothing should compromise the security of the system. 

I assumed firmware would have to change to support this feature rather than just \"bolting on\" extra support for multiple connections as a quick fix.

I imagined that each connection would be a different \"session\" that still had to sigin to comfort to authenticate.   Comfort would maintain a map of remote IP Addresses/Ports connections against their signin levels and only send/receive responses to/from those IP connections matched by the users authorisation level.

Maybe limit to a fixed number of concurrent sessions (say 10); anything is better than one!

Can you not do something similar now if you had 2 UCM/Ethernet cards in your Comfort system or is that not a valid configuration either? If so I was just assuming you could \"collapse\" this functionality onto a single UCM.

Home networking capacity is rapidly expanding as you know and concurrent connections in the Comfort world would \"open a few more doors\" I\'m sure!
