Comfort C2 - Pre 5.054 bug?
#1
I have one remaining C2 system out there on pre 5.054 firmware, just waiting to be upgraded. I have now had a message from the client to say the unit has locked up with \"commiunications failure\" on the keypad. Also the keypad will not respond to any keypresses

As I have remote VPN access I have tried talking to the comfort via ethernet. While I can ping its interface OK. I cannot logon.

After getting the customer to disconnect the battery and cycle the mains power to reset the system. I can now log on. The event log shows the following...

09/19  00:00 Reset
09/19  00:00 Sign in - User #
09/19  00:00 Mode Change #Security Off
09/19  00:00 RS485 tamper #Comfort Controller
09/19  00:00 Alarm Type #AlarmAbort (20)
09/19  00:00 Sign in - User #1
09/19  00:00 Mode Change #Security Off
09/19  00:00 Sign in - User #1
09/19  00:07 Reset
09/19  00:07 Sign in - User #
09/19  00:07 Mode Change #Security Off

The RS485 tamper explains the communications failure on the keypad and my in ability to login over the ethernet UCM. Is this a symptom of the bug or could I have another problem?

This may be caused by the bug on the recorded messages
Can you tell the user to erase all messages, in user menu press 2 for messages, 3 to erase saved messages.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I\'ll pass the info on and make an effort to get the firmware changed. I have it here just need to sort a visit.

I guess this is for Comfort V3 but would be great if this could have been flashed via the serial or ethernet UCM.

Unfortunately the CPU does not have flash, but we are working on such a feature for next year. You cannot have everything you want at one time Wink

You know us lot we want everything, Hence for comfort v3.

I\'m sure we all would have a load of input for that. As time gets closer may be there should be a seperate forum to help address and prioritise our needs.
