Serial Protocol Issue
#1
Hi
Can I get some clarification on the MD & M? commands being returned from an Ethernet UCM with the latest firmware 6.08

I have just purchased the new KP06 keypad (very pleased) and therefore had to upgrade all firmware from 5xx to 6xx.

Since then my HomeSeer plug-in has started showing errors, after a little debugging this morning I have found that the these commands have the value \"F0\" for the keypad user number instead of \"5A\" as before and as stated in the current serial protocol document. This happens with my older KP04 as well.

Can anyone tell me if this is intentional and I should modify my code or is it an error that will be corrected in a future firmware?
Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil

This changed in a recent Comfort firmware; see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/2637.html for the details. They havent upgraded the protocol guide yet as I asked that question too.

Hi Julian

Thanks for that, looks like I need to amend my code then.

Yep, me too. :?

Seems we\'ll have to test Comfort Version and use the correct mapping accordingly.

Cytech, what\'s the exact firmware version (including non released ones that are out there for testing) where this switch happened; I\'m guessing 6.009, but did 6.007-8 have it and could be out \"in the wild\"?

The revised protocol can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/serial_interface_protocol.html

The purpose of renumbering the User numbers is to allow arming by external UCMs like Cbus and KNX (zwave in future), where no user code is entered, to be reported on the event log, UCM and SMS according to the UCM ID. Previously these arming events were reported as armed by Keypad which is not correct

The change occured in 6.009
