RESISTORS
#1
I would like to know if a 12V smoke detector
can be compatible with a 24V output fire alarm system,
if not, can resistors be used to acheive this.

Thanks for your help.

The Comfort system is 12v so you could connect your 12v smoke detector to it.

You should not even try to connect a 12V smoke alarm to a 24V fire alarm system

There is the liability and danger if it does not work. You should use the recommended sensors for the system

The smoke detector only gives an output when it detects smoke and the output can be fed to any output system. If I’m not wrong the smoke detector has 6 pins, you just need to figure out the right combination. The 24V fire alarm system has an output alarm that requires this high input voltage. I believe the output from the sensor can work with it. Only try this if you have an understanding of smoke sensor circuitry though.

a 12v detector is for 12v systems
so if you connect it to 24v it will blowup!
